UV, Sunlight, and Climate Simulation

Solar and Climate Simulation

including global radiation, temperature, and humidity

Solar Simulations with Global Radiation

Solar simulations are used in a wide variety of applications, such as the automotive industry, the military, aging tests, materials testing, and testing of photovoltaic modules.

Solar Simulation Chamber: Global Radiation, Temperature, and Humidity

Our devices are state-of-the-art test units designed to simulate indoor and outdoor conditions. Influencing parameters such as global radiation, temperature, and humidity can be individually programmed in freely configurable test sequences. The internal chamber design of the devices offers a cost-effective alternative to large solar simulation systems.
Our units, with a test chamber volume of up to 1,000 liters, combine with the irradiation unit (metal halide lamps and outdoor filters) to form a fully-fledged climate chamber.

Sunlight Simulation and UV Exposure - Test Systems for Photovoltaic Modules

PV modules must operate reliably, even under constantly changing weather conditions. To ensure the quality of the modules, testing under extreme conditions is therefore absolutely essential.
This includes various quality tests designed to artificially stress the materials of PV modules, as specified in the IEC 61215 and IEC 61646 standards.

UV Weathering

For artificial weathering or irradiation using UV fluorescent lamps, various lamps with different radiation characteristics are used in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4892-3. Method A describes weathering with UVA-340 lamps (Type 1A), and Method B describes global radiation behind window glass using UVA-351 lamps (Type 1B). Both types of lamps achieve very good correspondence with the radiation characteristics of sunlight.

Our equipment allows us to conduct a wide range of standardized tests.
